Back in August 2008, Warner Bros. announced that the next Harry Potter installment, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, would be delayed from it’s original November 2008 release date to mid-2009, and the ensuing uproar from fans reached such heights that it seemed that July 2009 would never get here fast enough.
When Warner Bros. released its first trailer for Half-Blood Prince, it played the cards close and didn’t quite satisfy those hoping for a deeper glimpse into the film. Although the second trailer finally gave viewers more of what they were looking for, the newest and final trailer released today by all means exceeds anything that has come before it, even engaging audiences that aren’t normally Potter fans. Perhaps “epic” has been the most used term to describe it, but I’d say it’s more like “absolutely magnificent” for giving us a sense of the scope that the sixth installment is aiming for.
